Sdn Bhd (“Jasa Merin”), formerly known as Jackson Marine Malaysia Sdn Bhd
was incorporated on March 14, 1980 and commenced operation on October 24,
1982. As a joint venture company between Jackson Marine Corporation of the
USA and the Terengganu State Government (“the State”), Jasa Merin was
established to carry out the business of operating and providing the
services of offshore support vessels to the Malaysian oil and gas
industry.Jasa Merin was privatized in 2006 and today is majority owned by its
management and employees.
The State retains a strategic 30% equity
interest in the company. With a history spanning more than twenty five
years, Jasa Merin today maintains a tradition of service excellence by
preserving a team of skilled and well-trained crew and shorebased
personnel. Our pool of professionals ensures delivery of efficient high
quality service to our customers. The privatization marks a new beginning
as Jasa Merin enters an aggressive expansion phase and a new chapter in
its long and proud history.
